Where do you belong?

Posted on May 29th, 2009 by Jung Girl : Yogi Girly Golightly Jung Girl
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for May 29, 2009:

I feel the best way for me to know where I DO and  DO not belong is when I listen to the body...my body....

I am a yoga instructor and teach about 10 classes a week...not to mention the 3-5 classes I take from other instructors each week. I have found that the more yoga I do the more I am in touch with my body both internally and externally.

I find that when I am in touch with my body that I am able to make better karmic choices for my life. I take the time when making decisions now to stop and ask myself which direction to take..."Should I watch this movie?"...."Is this the right person to be spending most my time with?"..."Do I take on this new client?"...."Whats the best time for me to go to bed?" or "Wake up?"....

I simply ask myself this question and then sit a wait for my bodies response...each time I get a physical sensation somewhere in the body...be it comfort or an uneasy feeling, I am sure to make the right choice if I really listen and feel my way through it.

So I would say I belong anywhere my little body feels comforted, at ease and open. If my body is tense or closed off I don't want to be there or do that :o)
